Webinar 1: Research Planning 19 January 10:30am-12:30pm. This session will examine strategies for focussing your research efforts to save yourself time and increase the likelihood of research success. Learn how to set goals, clarify your research questions and establish priorities; and discover a range of useful tools, such as research plans and checklists, to suit different research styles and research interests. This will be an interactive session, so bring along examples of your research problems. This session is recommended for anyone undertaking the SAG certificate or Diploma courses

Webinar 2: Problem Solving Using Mind Mapping and Timelines 16 February 8pm - 9pm. Many research problems can be solved by looking at more sources, but more tricky problems require analytical tools. Mind mapping and timelines are two tools which can help you clarify your research questions, develop research leads and evaluate your research conclusions. This session will demonstrate how to use the tools, with worked examples, templates and instructions.

Webinar 3: Cite Your Sources 30 March 8pm - 9pmWe are constantly being reminded to cite our sources, but it can seem difficult or a waste of time. This session clarifies and simplifies the process with strategies and examples to help you become a sourcing expert! We will identify the underlying structure of a citation, compare different standards, examine citations for different source types; and address the use of citations in different situations, such as family history software, written reports and online trees. This session is recommended for anyone undertaking the SAG certificate or Diploma courses.

Book using this listing if you wish to attend all three sessions at the discounted price.
