Did your ancestor catch a train?

In this session we will look at the history, the building, workers (including the Brogden Navvies), travel and accidents. Where can you find information and records about the railways and the people who built and used them? Your ancestors may have caught a train to catch a ship to come to Australia. The first railway was opened in 1863. Come along to learn more about New Zealand’s railway history and bring any stories of your railway ancestors to share with the group.

This event will be recorded for those who are unable to attend live.
