Topic: Guest author Michelle Montebello

We are delighted that Michelle Montebello will be our guest speaker at the March meeting of The Writing Group after being unwell at the time of our February meeting.

Michelle is an Australian author who won the 2023International Book Excellence Award with “The Quarantine Station”. This captivating historical novel comprises two stories, of the past and of its discovery in the present, set a century apart at the Quarantine Station on North Head in Manly, Sydney.

Michelle will outline her research sources and her methods of writing, and interweaving two timelines to construct an engaging narrative.

Our discussion will focus on writing that involves both historical fact and creative fiction.
