With a PhD in Ethics and a background of teaching Psychology, University lecturer Dr Penny Walters, author of recently published ‘Ethical Dilemmas in Genealogy’ will discuss what ethics and morality mean, and what these have to do with genealogy.  “I’m just compiling our family tree, what possible problems could there be?” Dr Penny Walters leads us to examine how we handle issues such as discovering other people’s secrets and lies, dealing with strangers on the internet and finding that some relatives aren’t now related. Attendees will benefit from considering ethical issues with more empathy and sensitivity.

This webinar is included in the Nov 2020 - Jan 2021 Season Ticket
