Derivative sources are sources created using information from other sources. They have a bad reputation, mostly due to the prevalence of poor quality online family trees. But derivative sources can be a goldmine of information, if we know how to select the best ones, analyse them carefully and extract information in the right way. This session will include both documentary and DNA sources.
