Immigration records are not all held in the same place in Australia. Kerry Farmer will explain how knowing where, when and how they arrived – and the immigration schemes in place at the time – helps you know where to look.

 About the Presenter: Kerry Farmer has been teaching family history classes in 1997. She has worked as a genealogy researcher and also presented at many family history events in Australia, New Zealand and UK. She has served on SAG’s Education Committee since 2004 and now convenes that committee, as well as serving on the Diploma and Certificate Committee. Kerry joined the SAG Board in 2018. She is also Director of Australian Studies for the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. Kerry is the author of DNA for Genealogists and Arrivals in Australia from 1788, as well as various genealogical Handy Guides for Unlock the Past.
