This month we will be discussing some aspects of Italian research and hearing about some experiences of a specific group of 19th century Italian migrants to Northern NSW.

Our speakers will be:

2. Lester Cooke from the New Italy Museum in Northern NSW discussing the work of the museum in tracing the descendants of the  Italian settlers of New Italy and telling the story of the pioneering Italian families of the area

3. Joanne Tapiolas will be speaking about the Footprints of Italian Prisoners of War project, which has grown to be an international community history project researching the stories of Italian prisoners of war in Australia during WW2

4. Jennie Fairs will be providing a case study about researching a Sicilian family.
