SAG's final virtual conference for 2024 is on the topic of wills, probates and related records. We will be looking at how these records can enhance your family history research. 

Join us for the afternoon or register to receive the recording pack in the following week.

Speakers include:

  • Dr Emily Vine from the University of Exeter discussing a project she is working on titled "The Material Culture of Wills, England 1540-1790"
  • Michael Flynn detailing the resources available on the Biographical Database of Australia for researching Will and Probate records
  • Sarah Pettyfer presenting on using the UK Chancery Court records for family history research
  • Andrew Redfern will present some case studies from Probate Packets at MHNSW
  • Daniel Horowitz from MyHeritage will present a case study related to using Will, Probate and death related records.
  • Vanessa Cassin discussing her recent thesis on Wills and Probate records for family history completed as part of the SAG's Diploma in Family Historical Studies program
